Polaris 3900S Sport issue

Got this Polaris pool cleaner 3900S sport and every time i drop it in, it runs fine, but when I come back a week later, the bag's wedged between the wheel and shell, and the pool's still dirty. Ive tuned it and made sure the bag's placed right (this model doesnt have a bag clip), so i'm thinking it might be happening when the backup valve kicks in. Planning to watch it poolside to figure it out, anyone else dealt with this?

Yeah, I've run into that with mine too. The bag can ride up when the backup valve kicks in and shifts the cleaner's angle. From what I know some zip-tie the bottom corners of the bag to keep it from sagging, maybe you can try that while you watch it run.

@Kind-Captain-507 oh yeah I also heard of people doing that zip-tie trick, but I think it's something to be nervous about if it messes with water flow. Did it actually help in your case though?

If your 3900S keeps eating its own bag like it's hungry for sabotage, don't blame the pool, blame Polaris' lazy design, no clip plus backup valve surge is a recipe for self-strangulation...watch it, or rig a fix

That design flaw sounds rough. Do you know if there's a reliable fix or modification kit out there to prevent the bag from collapsing? Would love to hear whats worked best for you or others dealing with this issue.
